Good morning!

I've been trying to participate in some of the challenges this week. I've got two cards for you today using the Clean and Simple challenge (a sketch). The first card also combines the colour challenge for this week at Splitcoast.

For the above card, I used some textured Pixie Pink for the card base. I love the little extra some textured card stock gives a clean and simple card. The images are from Unity's July KOTM and Bevy of Butterflies. I coloured the images on white card stock using and Aqua painter with Pixie Pink, Apricot Appeal and Certainly Celery inks.

This second card uses the new level 1 hostess set from SU! called Out of the Box. It's an SU only card.

I pulled the colours Bashful Blue, Kraft and Vanilla from the Manchester DSP. The box is stamped in Sahara Sand which is about the closest Kraft coloured ink I have. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes. The elephant and Vanilla/DP layer are on dimensionals. I thought this set would be so fun to use with dimensionals and it's well documented how much I love to use them ;) I'm thinking this second card might be a card camp card for next week.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today! Hope the rest of your day is wonderful and less rainy than it is here...

So, I think I may finally be finished my Christmas shopping! Woooo hoooo! Now to wrap...

Had a chance today to play in the Colour Challenge at SCS. I was looking forward to it until I saw the colours!!! Orchid Opulence, Cameo Coral and So Saffron. Ugh. I suppose that's why they call it a challenge! So Saffron is a fav, but the others are rarely used by me. I decided that I would make it a mostly white card with colour accents. The colours made me think "spring" when I put them together, so I decided to use a spring set. It came together pretty quickly after that.

I used the set Flower Filled for the boots and flowers and Heart From the Heart for the sentiment which was borrowed from a friend (Hi Sheilagh!).

Pretty straight forward. The panel, boots and purple flower are on dimensionals. I used a silver brad for a buckle on the boots. The stems are stamped in Mellow Moss.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope to have another post before the big day so I will save my holiday wishes for then :)

They're here! They're here!!!

How excited was I to find a beautifully packaged envelope full of There She Goes stamps waiting for me when I got home today?!

I used two sets for the Colour Challenge at SCS today. Seems like forever since I was able to complete a challenge on a weekday!! Darn job gets in the way of stamping... ;)

The challenge was to use the Colour Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze and Very Vanilla. I started by stamping the tree images from Branching Out in Timber Brown Stazon and coloured the leaves in using my blender pen and Kiwi Kiss ink. Once that was finished, I added the sentiment from Butterfly Happiness in the same brown ink. A piece of Baja Breeze cardstock was stamped with the Polka Dot BG from SU! in Baja Breeze ink and adhered to the card front. I next used a two way glue pen on the leaves and added Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the leaves. You can still see the Kiwi ink through it but it looks all spark-lay. Click on the photo to see it up close and personal. Love it! I finished it up by knotting a length of Kiwi Kiss ribbon around the card front and trimming the ends.

So, what do you think? Check back later in the week for more cards made with There She Goes sets :)

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today! Hope the rest of your day is great.

O mojo, mojo! Wherefore art thou mojo?

I guess it's true what all the stamping rock stars say about stamping every day! I haven't had a chance to in the last little while and my mojo has taken a hit. I wasn't even interested in doing the Feature Stamper challenge at SCS on Sunday! *gasp* (of course this had nothing to do with the FS's work! Just me getting my butt in gear...)

I did manage to pull out Old Olive, Elegant Eggplant and Taken with Teal to try the colour challenge today. Fabulous Flowers was still out on my desk from Saturday and that is what I finished up using. I tried a few other things but they just weren't happening. I fould this combo tough.

Anyways, it's a pretty straight forward card. Stamped the flower images randomly in all three colours and added Dazzling Diamonds to the flower centres using a glue pen. I scalloped one edge of the Teal cardstock using the new SU! scallop border punch. After I punched the border, I went back with a 1/8" hand punch and made little holes along the scallop. I initially planned to use a dotted grosgrain but switched to the plain to keep this card Stampin' Up! only. I actually think it looks better with plain ribbon anyways. The sentiment is from SU!'s All Holidays set.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I am hoping that I can get my mojo in gear as I have a number of projects to create for upcoming birthdays and a baby shower. I could probably use something I've already created if I had to, but what would the fun be in that? ;)

Hope the rest of your day is great!

Good morning!

Today was colour challenge over at SCS and the colours were Sahara Sand, Groovy Guava and Whisper White. I just can't get into the Guava for some reason! Has to be my least favourite colour to work with so it really was a challenge for me!

Here's the card I came up with after many changes and adjustments.

I kept it pretty simple so I could have the double ribbon the focus. As I've said before, I can't make it work when there are too many things going on so I try to have one thing stand out. I chose the ribbon this time. I used the SU! set Together Forever and randomly stamped the flower on Sahara Sand and adhered it to a layer of Groovy Guava. I then stamped the sentiment from the same set in Sahara Sand. I finished it up by tying a length of both double stitched and taffeta ribbon.

A very simple card to make but it took a looooooong time for it to come together!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope the rest of your day is great :)

This card is for the colour challenge over at SCS this week to use the colours River Rock, Soft Sky and Very Vanilla. I also added a pop of black for the sentiment and then felt it needed something black to balance it out. Originally, I had a soft sky coloured ribbon but once I repaced it with the black, it seemed much more balanced out. I added Frosted lace stickles to the flower centres. The flowers are from SU!'s Bodacious Bouquet set and the sentiment it from PTI's Birthday Basics. Love Papertrey's fonts.

I'm tired today! I was up late working on cards for a card camp I have coming up in August. Inspiration hit late for me last night! And whenI finally did get to bed, my youngest son couldn't sleep, so we switched places. I didn't get much sleep in his bunk unfortunately! LOL

I did promise some blog candy so here it is! Thanks so much to those of you that stop by and read :) I appreciate you and the sweet comments that you leave. What a wonderful hobby stamping is!

If you would like to win it, please post a comment to this post (one per person please) no later than tomorrow night (Thursday). Then, I'll randomly select a number and get this package of goodies that includes the SU! set Friendship Blooms, lengths of 2007-08 SU! In-Colour ribbons, a Verve ribbon package, a package of jewel accents, a container of microbeads and a baggie of assorted Prima flowers off to the lucky winner!

Good luck!

Good Lord! I don't know how I'm ever going to keep up with these challenges once I go back to work in September! I'm having so much fun though.

Here's a simple and quick card I made for the challenge today which was to use Wild Wasabi, So Saffron and Almost Amethyst together. Luckily I found this SU! Uptown designer paper that had all three colours. Score! It was still out on my desk from this weekend when I considered using it for the Featured Stamper challenge so I used it today and must credit Stephanie Hargis for her inspiration found here.

Not a difficult card to make. The hardest part was that bow! I just fiddled until it looked right and trimmed the ends. I stamped the sentiment from SU!'s Absolutely Fabulous set using Basic Grey ink and added a jewel bit which I think is from K and Co but I'm not sure since again, I tossed the package. Silly me.

Remember this card I created for the Mojo45 challenge? Well, I didn't win the challenge, but I did get a mention on Julee's website as one of her favourites!! Check out the post here. See me down in the bottom left corner of her favs? How exciting is that? Not the mojo-est but apparently enough to be a favourite out of 159 (!) entries.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope the rest of your day is great.

Another quick post today-It's the second week of summer vacation and my boys are just about ready to kill each other! lol I've got to get them out somewhere so they can run around and get out some of that energy instead of taking it out on each other. Perhaps we'll go to a park or splash pad. Maybe even mini golf.

So, this is the card I made for the colour challenge this week at SCS. Colours are Groovy Guava, Chocolate Chip and Barely Banana. I also threw in some Whisper White. Ribbon is SU! satin from the last holiday mini. Love it. Again, I wasn't feeling the love from these colours at first (as I often do when I check out the challenge colours) but pressed on and came up with something I'm happy with. I think it's the Guava that throws me off since I'm not keen on it. That's what I'm loving about doing the challenges. They are really opening my little stamping world up.

But how much do I love Garden Silhouettes? TONS! I've put little half pearls (Hero Arts) on the center of the focal image flowers. I have been using those little babies like crazy lately. They just finish things off nicely. In hindsight, I'm thinking I should have done something to the Banana layer-piercing maybe? Not sure, but it's too late now!

Thanks so much for taking a look! Hope the rest of your day is great :)
