Baseball Mini Album

I've had this Bo Bunny word album and the best of intentions for ages. Today, I finally got around to making the baseball album documenting my boys' first year playing that I had been planning to use it for.

I am all about the scrapping kits after making this! Kits have the patterned paper, cardstock and accents in one shot so everything matches. This kit happens to be from CTMH. Once I got the paper adhered to the chipboard letters, it was a snap! I don't know about you, but sometimes I find I have too much to use? And then I wind up getting overwhelmed and giving up. Limiting myself to the kit made it go so much faster. The ribbon is bits and pieces I had laying around from various manufacturers.

Here are the inside pages. Hope you like it!

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today!

Happy Thanksgiving to my Canadian friends :)

December Daily Album

I know what you are thinking.....a scrapbook? Made by Angela? I know!!!!! I'm just as surprised as you are!

So, I was feeling brave this weekend and decided to tackle a December Daily Album. The idea came from one I read about on Ali Edwards' blog. Basically, what you do is create an album ahead of time so that when December rolls around, you can document your days through photos and a bit of journaling and get them in the album without a lot of effort. There are pages numbered from 1 to 25, one for each day leading up to Christmas. All the work is done ahead so you can slap the pictures in, sit back and enjoy the holidays! We'll see...I'm really not a scrapper at all, but the idea of getting an album done ahead of time to document Christmas appealed to me. Hopefully I will stay on top of it and take pics everyday!

So, here's what I came up with. I made it a personal challenge to not purchase anything new to use in the album-Lord knows I have enough stuff here to make a hundred albums!

Here's the cover. I used so many different supplies in here that I can't list them all. If you have a question about any specific item, feel free to ask and I'll see what I can figure out for you :) The album itself is a SU! linen ring book.

The first pages. I'm planning to write an intro bit onthe first page.

A few pages from inside.

These next few pages are special to me. When my husband's grandmother passed away, he inherited her sewing basket. Being raised during the Depression, she kept everything! On the 13 page, I incorporated a piece of one of her measuring tapes.

The page below uses some lace and buttons from her basket.

I have to admit, I am pleased with the way it turned out! I can't wait to see what it looks like with photos and journaling inside.

Are you doing a December Daily Album? I'd love to hear your thoughts on it or see some links. I am going to try to scrap more this winter. My boys just love to look at pictures and so I think I'm feeling some guilt. Nathan seems to like to scrap too, so I want to enjoy it while it lasts. One day he won't have time for crafts with mom *sniff* They grow too fast!!!

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope the rest of your day is great :)
