TSG01

Good morning!

Want to enter to win a free stamp set? Easy! Just use a There She Goes set to complete this month's challenge. You can check the challenge out here on Jessica's blog but I'll give you the basics here.

This month's challenge is to create a card and beautify the inside to match the front. I think that this little detail adds so much to a card and really gives it the "wow" factor. For those of you that use your TSG stamps, you will be entered to win a new release stamp set of your choice! Please use TSG01 as your keyword for challenge uploads on Splitcoast Stampers.

I just received my set of TSG stuff for the new release on Friday and I'm loving it all!!! Jessica is just so sweet and generous and I am loving being on this DT! Nothing like new stuff to get you out of a stamping slump :)

I used a sketch that I have used and loved in the past from Beate that you can find here. This is a new set that will be releasesd on the 1st. You can read more details about the co- designer Suzanne Baker and how this set came to be here.

The little heart is cut out and mounted on a dimensional.

A quick way to beautify the inside is to add a coordinating piece of patterned paper cut slightly smaller than the inside. I used some Sweet always paper from SU! and cut it so that the pattern would frame the side nicely.

And don't forget the back! The images in this new There She Goes set Year Round Sentiments are a perfect size for the back of cards. Be proud of what you've created and be sure to sign it! Hallmark always does ;)

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today! I know I haven't been posting much as I have been busy with work and family stuff, plus have had a few card classes. My classes are pretty much finished for now, so I hope to be able to post more. I thank all of you who continue to come by to see what I've been up to even though I'm not posting every day. Full-time, out of the house, working wives and mothers, part time SU! demos REPRESENT! lol I'm sure that there are many of you out there who would love to have more time to stamp, and for whatever reasons, can't. Anyways, I'm in that group and really want to say thanks :)

Hope the rest of your day is great!

I'm back with a sketch challenge card for you to see. It's using Beate's weekend sketch challenge found here.

I used the There She Goes Butterfly Happiness set for this card. I first decided on the colour scheme taking it from the Sweet Always paper. I love pink and orange together! Such a fresh combo. Again, add Chocolate Chip in there and I'm loving it! The card base leaves are stamped with Chocolate Chip ink, tone on tone. The main layer is on dimensionals. Not much to say here really-the scallop is created in Pumpkin Pie using the SU! border punch. The ribbon is Regal Rose from SU!, the sentiment is stamped in Chocolate Chip and punched using a 1" punch. The scallop circle is punched using the yellow Marvy punch. Again, not sure of size names, only colours.

Thanks for stopping by today! It's the weekend so I'm hoping I can fit in a bit of stamping time. My house is a mess though, so it will be a stretch!

WSC62 Again!

I guess I coldn't wait to try this sketch out with Deer Friends!

I changed up the card found here and made it into a Christmas Card. Very quickly, I used Riding Hood Red, Chocolate Chip, Holiday Treasures Designer Paper, Whisper White. In addition to the punches and tools described in the other post, I used a two way glue pen to adhere Romantic Red (retired) glitter to the deer's nose.

I think this guy will make the Card Camp cut!

Thanks so much for taking a peek :)

It's Saturday! Recently, it seems that's the day I find the most time to stamp.

I made a card today using Beate's sketch challenge found here. I swear that I have never made so many Halloween cards in my life! I have so many I think I'm actually going to have to send some out this year ;)

I wanted to keep this one SUO since it's been a while since I have done that. I fought the urge to put Martha's black glitter on that little spider (but I may cave before I send it-can't promise anything!)

I started by making this Pumpkin Pie card base measure 3.5x5.5 in. It's a different size for me but a nice change. I'm thinking about using this layout for a Christmas Camp card using Deer Friends. Maybe I'll get to it later today.

Anyhow, I cut a piece of SU! Halloween DP to fit the card. The way I cut it I was careful to center the Trick or Treat wording. I used a flipped piece for the striped black border. A black scallop was punched out to make the half circle accent. I stamped the spider image twice with Basic Black. I punched it out the first time with a 1 3/8" circle and adhered it to the card front and then again with a 1" punch and adhered that with dimensionals. A Kiwi Kiss ribbon tied around the front finishes it off.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today! Hope the rest of your day is wonderful :)

Here's a card I uploaded to my gallery on the weekend.

I loved the colours in the photo for the Inspiration Challenge at SCS this past weekend. I used Really Rust, So Saffron and Close to Cocoa. I liked the layout from Beate's sketch challenge so much I decided to use it again. It's a great LO to use with these smaller stamps from Pocket Silhouettes. I stamped the flower image along the card base using Really Rust ink. I then adhered a So Saffron piece, stamped the sentiment in Chocolate Chip and tied the big SU! ribbon around.

The main image was stamped on Whisper White in Chocolate Chip ink and matted with matching card stock. Th entire main image is adhered using dimensionals.

I haven't had time to stamp this week! So sad. I am just so exhausted each day when I get home! All of my kindergarten students have started full time this week so my days have been long and very tiring. All I want to do when I get home is flake out on the couch! I know it will get easier once they are all used to our routines.

We also had to replace our fridge this week. Ours stopped being cold. Well, only about the bottom third was keeping cold when it was cranked to 10. I wasn't happy about laying out the cash for a new one, but in all honesty, I hated that old fridge and was glad to see it go! The past few nights have been getting it up and going and organizing. I *heart* my new fridge! No more fridge envy for me!

Fingers crossed that I have my There She Goes package and can stamp some stuff to show off using those sets this weekend!

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today. Hope the rest of your day is great :)
